It took over two years to develop this car. No expense has been spared to make it one of the fastest cars while not impairing reliability. The 1995+ body is by far the most beautiful of the Mitsubishi Eclipse/Eagle Talon series, but unfortunately, all of the motors in the "second generation" of these cars are plagued with a phenomenon called "crankwalk", destroying the motors over time. This car was the first and only to succesfully transplant a motor from the first generation cars, which makes this the most reliable 95+ car in existence. Additionally, the first generation motor is significantly stronger than the later motors, with a nearly indestructible crankshaft and connecting rods. As if that wasn't enough - the motor was completely prepared by a dedicated race shop in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, by the same shop that built the 700hp Toyota Supra that finished 4th Overall in the 2000 One Lap of America! This motor features the absolute best in racing technology, including higher-compression forged JE Pistons, Crower connecting rods, an HKS headgasket and ARP head studs, among many other parts. Furthermore, each part of the motor was fully measured and inspected prior to installation to ensure better-than-factory tolerances and reliability. Only top-of-the-line parts have been used throughout the building of this car. Thanks to the support of leading Japanese companies such as HKS and Techtom/G-Force Engineering, this project has become a reality. While the car has been built to excel in road racing and time trial events, the motor is completely built for the largest turbo anyone would ever put in it - perfect for a 9-second drag racing car. The rollcage is completely SCCA and NHRA legal, for either road racing or drag racing competition. A full list of specifications can be found below, including several pictures.
